Urban monuments preservation area Olomouc [ Městská památková rezervace ]The second-oldest urban monuments preservation area in the country, known as "the pearl on the green cushion".
The town itself was probably founded at the beginning of the 13th century.
The historic core comprises St Wenceslas´ Cathedral, the Přemyslid Palace, Church of Our Lady of the Snows Minster, St Michael´s Minster Church, St Maurice´s Minster and the town hall with its astronomical clock.
